Leather
Leather is a natural material with character – developed to accompany you and your dog for many years. PAWLII bags and collars are made from high-quality leather that softens over time and develops an individual patina. Small changes in structure or color are part of the natural aging process and make each product unique. To ensure that leather retains its elegant appearance and supple feel in the long term, regular, gentle care is recommended. With proper cleaning, storage, and attention, your PAWLII product will remain a stylish companion for everyday life, travel, and shared adventures.
PAWLII leather products are made from high-quality Italian leather and are deliberately chosen to develop an individual patina over time. Small irregularities, natural scars, or slight color nuances are not flaws but rather a sign of the natural material structure. Through use, the leather becomes softer and acquires its characteristic look. To ensure that bags and collars retain their elegant appearance in the long term, careful handling with moisture, strong sunlight, and rough surfaces is recommended.
Light soiling can be removed with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth. Please avoid aggressive cleaning agents, alcohol, or harsh rubbing, as these can dry out or discolor the surface. If it comes into contact with water, the leather should be carefully dabbed dry and then air-dried – never on a heater or in direct sunlight. For regular cleaning, a dry microfiber cloth is usually sufficient to gently remove dust and everyday marks.
To keep the leather supple and preserve its high-quality feel, we recommend occasional care with a colorless leather conditioner for smooth leather. Especially for frequently used travel accessories, this helps protect the material from drying out. Apply care products sparingly with a soft cloth and test them first on an inconspicuous area. Metal parts should be kept dry to protect their surface long-term.
Ideally, store leather products in a dry, light-protected, and non-airtight environment. For bags, we recommend storing them in the provided dust bag to protect the leather from dust and scratches. Collars should be stored flat to avoid pressure marks or deformation. Direct sunlight and high humidity can affect the material in the long term.
High-quality leather is durable and can often be professionally refurbished or repaired. Minor signs of wear are part of the natural aging process and add character to the product. However, should more significant damage or defects occur, we recommend having it repaired by a specialized leather workshop or saddler. This way, your PAWLII product will remain a stylish companion on your travels and in everyday life for as long as possible. We offer a 5-year warranty on our leather products. Dog blankets
Alpaca Fleece
The alpaca fleece of PAWLII dog blankets was deliberately developed for calm, comfortable travel moments. The fine natural fibers feel particularly soft, have a temperature-balancing effect, and create a cozy retreat for your dog – on the go as well as at home. At the same time, alpaca is a sensitive natural material that, with a little care, retains its high-quality structure and pleasant feel for a long time. Gentle cleaning and proper storage help to keep the fibers permanently soft and well-maintained. This way, the dog blanket remains a familiar and comfortable companion for relaxed moments together, even after many journeys.
The soft alpaca fleece of the PAWLII dog blankets was developed for calm, comfortable travel moments. Alpaca fibers are considered particularly soft, temperature-regulating, and pleasantly light. At the same time, they are more delicate than classic synthetic fibers and should be treated accordingly with care. Due to the natural structure, slight shedding may occur – especially at the beginning of use. This is typical for the material and not a defect in quality.
For cleaning, we generally recommend a gentle hand wash or a delicate wool program at a low temperature. Use only mild detergent without bleach or harsh additives. After washing, the blanket should be carefully pulled into shape and dried flat. Please avoid using a tumble dryer, high heat, or intensive spinning, as this can damage the fibers.
To ensure that the alpaca fleece remains soft and high-quality in the long term, the blanket should be regularly shaken out and aired. Small fiber knots can be carefully removed by hand; do not use coarse-toothed combs. Gentle care preserves the natural structure of the material.
Store alpaca products in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight if possible. For longer storage, a breathable fabric bag is better than plastic packaging. The blanket should be stored clean and completely dry after washing to protect the material long-term. Heavy objects should not rest permanently on the fleece so that the fibers retain their soft structure.
Minor loose seams or slight signs of wear can often be repaired by a tailor or textile service. As this is a delicate natural material, we do not recommend attempting repairs yourself with strong adhesives or coarse stitching. Professional reconditioning will help maintain the high-quality appearance and comfort of the dog blanket in the long term.
Toys & Linings
Cotton
Cotton is a versatile natural material that PAWLII deliberately uses for products that are regularly in use in everyday life and when traveling. The lining of the bags ensures a pleasant feel and uncomplicated care, while the cotton toys are robust enough for shared play and at the same time pleasantly soft for dogs. Due to its natural structure, cotton develops slight signs of wear over time, which underline the relaxed character of the material. With gentle cleaning and regular care, the materials remain durable, hygienic, and ready for many more adventures with your dog.
PAWLII's cotton materials are deliberately chosen for daily use with dogs. The inner lining of the bags is made from robust cotton fabric with a pleasant feel, while the toys are crafted from durable cotton that remains soft enough for a dog's mouth. Due to its natural fiber structure, cotton may develop slight creases or signs of wear in everyday use – a normal characteristic of the material.
Cotton lining and toys can be carefully cleaned depending on the degree of soiling. Light stains can usually be removed with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Toys can be washed on a delicate cycle at a low temperature (max. 30 degrees). Please use mild detergents and avoid harsh cleaners or fabric softeners. After cleaning, the products should air dry completely before being used again.
Regular shaking out and airing helps to keep cotton materials fresh. Toys should be checked for damage after intensive use. Especially with toys, regular washing is recommended to prevent bacteria from permanently settling in the fibers. Gentle care helps to maintain the feel and appearance of the material in the long term.
Store cotton products in a dry and clean place. Toys should be completely dry after washing before being put away. Moisture over a longer period can affect the fibers and promote odors. Bags with cotton lining should ideally be stored dry in a dust bag so that air can circulate.
Cotton materials can often be repaired easily. Small open seams can be re-sewn by a tailor. For safety reasons, we recommend not to continue using damaged dog toys permanently. At PAWLII, we place great importance on toys without plastic parts or stuffing wool that can lead to choking or intestinal obstructions. This ensures a safe and pleasant playing experience for your dog.
