The idea behind PAWLII wasn't born from a desire to simply develop more products for dogs. Instead, it stemmed from a personal experience: How can traveling with a dog be stylish, calm, and truly relaxed – without compromising between aesthetics, quality, and functionality?
Together with her dachshund Schoko, founder Ann Wirtjes began to envision a new way of traveling with a dog. Less noisy. Less hectic. More mindful, high-quality, and relaxed. This idea gave rise to the philosophy of "Calm Travel with a Dog."
Today, PAWLII combines European craftsmanship, timeless design, and well-thought-out travel companions for dog owners who naturally integrate their dog into their lives, their travels, and their style.

The two II in PAWLII
The name PAWLII is a loving homage to the special relationship between humans and dogs. "Paw" represents the loyal animal companion, while the two "ii" at the end symbolize the connection and commonality between dog and owner. Furthermore, the logo contains a subtle allusion to the founder's name.
The two II - Schoko & Ann - are united by one thing above all: travel. Ann repeatedly found that the market offered few products that truly suited a modern, design-oriented lifestyle. Many dog bags seemed functional but were poorly made. Others were fashionable but impractical. High-quality materials, well-thought-out functions, and a calm, timeless design rarely seemed to come together.
Due to her background in fashion management, the idea arose to rethink dog accessories:
not as a classic pet product, but as part of a conscious travel and lifestyle.
Thus, PAWLII gradually developed into a brand for people who don't just "take their dog along," but rather want to travel together as a matter of course.

Why PAWLII isn't your typical pet supply brand
PAWLII was born from the conviction that dog accessories should not be treated like short-lived consumer goods. Many pet products are designed for quick trends, cheap materials, and short-term use. Especially when traveling, however, the difference quickly becomes apparent between a product that just looks good—and a product that truly makes travel more enjoyable in the long run.
That's why PAWLII deliberately produces in small manufactories in Italy and Germany. There, travel accessories for dogs are meticulously handcrafted—with high-quality materials, precise workmanship, and a clear focus on durability.
